Internal Conversations Become External Realities


Take care to monitor your self talk. Internal conversations become external realities. Allowing the wrong thing to simmer on your mind without proper ventilation will inevitably cause an explosion. Even keeping your real thoughts inside just to 'keep the peace' can have disastrous results if not handled correctly. Vent the bad stuff to someone qualified to handle it and replace it with words and thoughts of empowerment and hope. Put a limit on the stinking thinking. Anything held in that long CAN'T be pleasurable when it comes out!

Philippians 4:8 -  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Come On... Admit It. You Want It BAD!




Despite what we may say, our actions say that we respect bad and negative more than good. It's how the 6'oclock news is typically started... bad stuff first. There is a type of sensationalism to it. Positive reality shows don't last, but the negative ones reoccur season after season. People don't typically go out of their way to broadcast a birth, but HAVE to be the first one to tell you about a death. Have you ever noticed how we tend to remember the negative stuff said about us much longer than the positive? We give the negative much more attention than the positive. Studies have shown that some of this is just the way we are wired, however, we CAN do our own thinking. You don't HAVE to let the negative have immediate access to the front row of your life. It's a choice. Simply make another choice.
